- Resistance to viruses or disease
- Necessary for evolution
- Variations
Potential Negatives:
- Genetic disorders
- Diseases
- If gene is spread, could harm an entire population.
Examples of mutations:
- Cancer cells
- Sickle Cell Anemia
- Two brown eyed parents = blue eyed child
